I was skeptical, I will not lie. We started our pool in April, and within a month and half, we were hammered with algae. I was shocking, shocking, and doing everything I could to get rid of it. We gave up. We drained our pool and decided to start over. I made sure to buy this after watching a couple of videos on it and reading reviews. Yes, it is pricey but let me tell you this thing is worth it's wait in gold. Since restarting our pool, I have shocked once and that was to get the chemicals up during the refill and one other time recently just to be safe bc there was some dirt that we hadn't vacuumed up. My maintenance went down from every day to check maybe a every couple of day to even a week. I check my levels and they have remained stable with this thing. Even if my chlorine has gotten low in the floater, not even a sniff of algae. The true test will.be monsoon season, but with how great and how much less chemicals I am using, just wow. Get it, my pool is in the sun from sun up to sun down, so one would expect some algae, nothing. I can go a couple of weeks without vacuuming if I want. So impressed, who knew a little copper in your pool could make maintenance a breeze. The money we are saving on chlorine is insane. Must have,especially in the dirt bowl of Phoenix, AZ.

I used to use chlorine for my pool. Usually it meant using other chemicals to stabilize and augment the chlorine use. This system minimizes the other chemicals and keeps the pool nice and clear, plus no chlorine smell of irritation. You probably shouldn't have smell or irritation when using chlorine but the balance act is difficult to maintain the chlorine and other chemicals. Sure, there is still a little chlorine to use. I use tablets but very small amount, not even measurable. But, keep in mind that even thought you don't buy as much chemical you still have expenses. The copper wears out and has to be replaced. The brushes go fast and have to be replaced. You may get some algae problem where you may have to go back to chlorine to fix. (This only happened once in the three years using the Remington system and was my fault. All in all, I jus bought to replacement units to keep this system going.

I have a digital meter and I’ve compared testing strips and I’ve had no problems with my levels being off at all. I shocked it to open and added salt and these fabulous guys! It’s been wonderful! Totally recommend! I clean the copper about once a week and remove them from the pool to swim, unscrewIng the copper while out of the water, which is a lot less trouble than fighting the chemical leveling battle!! I also keep my pool open all year, at which time I only had one device and my water remained clear and algae free until I allowed the copper to corrode too much.( I recommend water proof gloves and a bucket, just keeps from staining your hands and the area.)

I have only been once and only used about 1/2 of my supplies. I've only shocked my pool twice all summer, used algicide twice. Once at opening and once mid summer. Not a speck of algae or cloudy water all summer. Pool was opened on June 1st and this picture was taken Aug 16. The water still looks fantastic. My water supply is well water with no filtration.
