It really dug into the snow and scooped out all the yuck. I sometimes would dig in deep into the ice and snow and give it a little kick with my shoe and it would dislodge the poop. Like I said I was rough and tuff with it and it lasted over a year and now I have a brand new one to beat up. It also works awesome in the grass and really grabs everything. I highly recommend this and if you are kinder to the pooper than I am it should last much longer for you.

I walk around with a plastic bag in one hand and this scooper and just toss the droppings into the bag. Afterwards, I'll rinse the scooper off with the hose and any residue easily comes off. My only complaint is how short . I'm already a short person and find it a bit tiring to be bending over to up with the short handle.
