They fight over it at times because she wants the pillow ontop that holds the head. It works perfect for then when they want to nap in the car. I feel they are safe. See I was in a small car accident where I hit the breaks and my teenage girl complained for a week on how the belt hurt her neck and and chest. It's when it occurred to me that if it where my youngest it would have been bad. I believe this would help them by staying in place Incase the belt tightens.
