This is the second one I have bought for her so she has a back-up. We call the Mellow Shirt her Jammies. When I ask her, "do you want to put your jimmies on?", she jumps right up onto the bed and does this! Anyone who owns a dog who has anxiety should try this shirt! When I received these wraps--they were lightweight enough that I pretty much figured I had made a bad purchase--chalking it up as a loss. That was until the evening of July 4th. The fireworks and explosions began and my dogs went crazy--no way to calm them down. My neighbor was visiting and was as surprised as I was. I remembered the wraps and began putting them on my two "littles". My one dog was so upset, he growled and even snapped at me as I attempted to wrap him. No kidding, within less than two minutes after I got them wrapped up, the growling one was curled up on his favorite pillow and my other "little" was curled on my lap. For another 30-40 minutes they stayed in those same positions--celebrations still going on outside. (Course, yes, I did have the TV going) At bedtime, they were zonked right out on my bed--even though fireworks and noises were just outside my home. I was in error with my first judgment. These wraps did their magic!

We were SO skeptical of this shirt but man we are believers now!!! We have 3 chihuahua mixes 2 of which are very afraid of fireworks, thunder and such. We were so desperate as we live in an area where a lot of people shoot off fireworks and at all times of the year. Because it happens so much all year long, we didn't want to turn to medication and we're hoping for an alternative. We bought them these shirts assuming it was a complete waste, thinking it was an infomercial pipe dream. But I have to tell you, they really do help. Surprised the hell outta us but these shirts have made life much calmer and peaceful again. If the fireworks / thunderstorm are real bad, the pups are still a touch anxious but the shirts make things very manageable. We have gotten to the point where we can't exist without them!!!! If you're on the fence, try them!!!!

We just got it few days ago but people are already setting off fireworks and he is already more calm and not freaked out as much I feel like the more he wears it the better it will get I also tryed it out in the car because he has anxiety and wines and barks when we go through drive through for fast food. So far this as been well worth the money. So he is 6 lbs and his chest around is about 14 in. I will add pics hope this helps and I’m his reg jacket he wears a small or xs depending on the maker. So I would say it your dog will probably wear 1-2 size smaller then there normal size jackets.

It started in the early evening. We put Tilt into the shirt at this time. He was still running around barking at the thunder for about 15 minutes. Then he calmed down to watch tv on the couch with us. At bed time he was hesitant but not nuts. I slept through the night. He did not have the shaking he usually exhibits through the night. In addition my other dog and my cat also had a much better night. Tilt's anxiety must rub off on them and like wise his lack of anxiety lessened their anxiety. I am really curious if this shirt will work for car rides. The shirt is appropriate for our warm climate. I am not sure that this is a life time product because the material is soft and light. However, it seems to do the trick and my animals are hard on their belongings. I am quite satisfied with the product. I will revisit this review to tell if the shirt works for car rides. My sweet min pin is not a fan of storms or just plain heavy rain and this helps keep him from pacing around the house and crying the entire time. He still shivers but it's definitely an Improvement compared to not wearing a wrap for comfort. For some dogs, a wrap is not enough so unless the bad reviews are about quality of the product, ignore those bad reviews and just try this out and see if it works for you(r baby). If it doesn't, return it, and try another method for your Pupper. Don't bash the product because it doesn't help your particular doggo. I did not receive the product for free or discount.

As soon as I put this on him he stretched out on the floor and for the first time in months just relaxed (pictured). It is wonderful having his old self back. I used to work at a pet store that sold the Thundershirt and to be honest I like this wrap better. The material is stretchier and softer. My guy is around 60lbs but is on the thinner side and could have done with a medium, but the large will work fine.
