Great epilator. I've read complaints about it being painful. Of course it's painful the first time; you are pulling hairs! The only way to make it almost pain-free after that painful first time, is to epilate regularly quite often. I'm a male and I keep upper back, upper arms, armpits, and nether regions smooth using this little machine. Make sure to keep the skin taut while using, though.

I'm amazed how much more I like this compared to the other one I purchased a year ago. I think they were compatible in price, I got this as a back up when I forgot the other on extended travel. It's louder, slightly bigger, and so much more efficient, powerful, and I really think it hurts less and grabs more (maybe less "second tries" as it not all hairs get picked up the first attempt)? Anyway, I strongly prefer it and don't want to use the other. Both were purchased based on price and reviews.
