You may be a bit angular but this is not the same as pulling a tooth. I like the different temperature settings because it really makes a perfect cup and the warmer keeps the cup temperature for half an hour. Well worth it!

The only small issue I had with it was the tea filter. Unless you drop it in just right, it will slide in at an angle that you then have to adjust (which is hard when the water is just boiling inside it). Luckily I have small hands to get my hands inside it to clean.
