Great for if you're lying down or just doing a lot of scrolling. Because then you can have your arm in any position you want. Although if you need to be doing a lot of cursor movements, you'll want a regular mouse (or vertical mouse). But this does have its place.

My first one broke after only a year and a half which is disappointing, but they aren't very expensive so I'm buying another one. Its the only mouse that lets me work with my arms behind my back instead of in front of me, which really helps with my shoulder pain and carpal tunnel that I get from using a regular mouse.

Rather than being tied to computer mouse cord, especially when desk in shield, can walk throughout room. Worked right from box and battery installation. Don't forget to turn on power. Uses one AAA battery, so life unknown.

I had to have a rotator cuff surgery on my dominant, right hand. This basically put my arm in traction for over a month. Since I use my computer for work, it made everything slow going having to use just my left hand to type and navigate around. This mouse was comfortable and easy to hold, even inside my sling. If you aren't used to the tracking ball, it takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's rather fun to use. It was extremely beneficial because I wasn't able to sit at my desk and work as I typically would. This mouse allowed me to sit on the couch and still be able to maneuver around my laptop. This was a great find!

I fell in love with these a long time ago. Eventually they break but work a long time before needing to be replaced. Having a replaceable battery instead of recharging means it lasts a lot longer and easier to continue working if the battery dies.Works with either left or right hand equally well. Cheaper than any local store trackball, if they carry trackballs at all. Mouse is more common but if you work hours at a time, the arm grows tired. There is a button that controls the pixels per inch movement. That really help for fine detail.

My wife bought this mouse to avoid pain in the wrist. The ergonomic is excellent, the mouse is very comfortable to work with, your hand will never be tired (except your thumb which has to scroll the ball). But we couldn't make it work with MacBook Pro laptop. I read other people comments who were lucky to do that, but we tried all the option, it never worked. So we simply returned the wireless mouse and bought the same wired mouse, connected it to the laptop via USB and it worked like a charm. So, if you have a Mac computer, I would suggest to buy the wired variant.

The day I got it I plugged it in & it started working. It took me three days to adjust the pointer settings in Windows to get a comfortable speed & get used to it. I really love it. Then on the 20th day I turned on my computer & the finger mouse would not work. I tested with known good batteries, light in mouse turned on. Tried in another computer, no dice. Search Internet for the device ID to look in Device Manager but there was no info there. Im guessing the dongle has gone bad. Again I must say, when it works this thing is awesome.Oh. I bought the steel balls that were suggested but it made it heavy so I switched back to the original. It tracks great with the original ball. It does rattle around so it you shake it or take your thumb off of the ball while it is not vertical the mouse pointer will move.
