So far this is work perfectly for me. Since plugging in my truck has never gone into 4 cylinder mode. Has not seemed to affect my mileage a lot, but I tend to drive pretty conservative anyway. Not sure if it's my imagination or what, but my truck seems to free wheel or Coast better when letting off the gas with less engine / transmission drag to slow me down which in my opinion is a good thing. I installed a sure cool thermostat eliminator in the transmission at the same time which keeps my transmission running much cooler. Very happy with both

Keeps vehicle in V8 mode at all times. So far, does not seem to have an effect on battery especially, since I only drive it a couple times a week. However, will watch in winter months. Time will tell whether it saved my valve train and lifters by disallowing V4 mode. The mileage, overall, decreased by 1mpg on highway. This is compared to switching back and forth from V4 to V8 mode. So, keeping V8 and full power has only changed highway mileage by very little and is worth it for power, in my opinion. I have not checked the city mileage.

I have a flowmaster super 44 and without it installed, my DFM would kick the cylinders off which was immediately obvious through the exhaust.It was like driving an electric vehicle and I hated it.Plugged the Range in and the exhaust had a constant growl even going down hill and off the gas pedal.So far, every time I plugged it it, it's worked. I read others that had it not consistently work so I will update in a while if it has issues.

The Suburban doesn't kick down to four cylinders like a jake brake on the highway which in a high mileage vehicle apparently can damage the engine. No problems Towing so it's not constantly shifting up and down from 8 to 4 cylinders. It stays in 8 cylinders
