It is much sturdier than his old one. He really feels secure with the foot on this one. It is very comfortable. However, when we found these crutches he was very happy. Since the crutch doesn't go under your arms, but is controlled with you hands and the ergonomic style, my father no longer feels pain in this arms while walking. The foot on this crutch doesn't slide, so going over gravel and even snow makes this crutch stable.
