I love this steamer, it is well designed, looks great, and does not scratch nonstick pans. However, this is my second one, because it will melt if you let all the water in a pan evaporate. I made that mistake but was able to remove the ruined steamer and clean the pan, but still, it is a danger. We got a new induction stovetop and I'm still getting used to the fact that it heats faster and to much higher temperatures than our old gas stovetop, so the running out of water took me by surprise.
