This is for an older infant. The problem with that is the pieces are definitely smaller than you'd think. I didn't think before I bought it but the xylophone sticks are definitely a choking hazard if your little one likes to explore with their mouth so be careful. The maracas are great also a little small so becauseful as your little one gets a little bigger and start to actually teeth. I honestly do not recommend giving the sizing circle toy to your baby ever just because the small to smallest pieces are pretty small. The instruments that are good are great just a couple of maybes.

I don't expect it to be pitch perfect but I would expect the shorter bars to be of a higher pitch than the longer ones and that isn't the case. So as you hit the bars in order the pitch jumps around randomly, which is pretty annoying.
