The base inclines slightly and the plastic/rubber material that your baby lies on is slightly soft-not a hard plastic, so it's much more comfortable compared to my other hard plastic cold infant tub. Also the feet don't skid at all so very stable to use on a counter. I wish I bought this sooner!
