But in a quick benchmark over a thunderbolt port - it absolutely does (see attached screenshot). I'm impressed. Now a benchmark is just a benchmark but it's a great starting place. In using this drive, it's felt fast. If I forget and plug it into a slower port, I can immediately tell. The performance is halved.

This is a well designed portable drive, that does the job it is supposed to. The first thing I noticed when it was delivered, was how compact it is. I have other portable hard drives that are bigger, which makes this one easy to take when needed, and storing for when I do not need it. When I attached it to my computer, there were no issues with it being recognized, and transferring files went very well. It showed as a storage capacity of 232 Gb, which is somewhere close to where I expected, and most hard drives never show full capacity. At 232 Gb there is still plenty of room for storing files and pictures, so I am content with that.
