The installation was really easy. Didn't even need to loosen the strings - able to slide underneath. Just unscrew beforehand, slide in the hole and tighten the screws. Literally no more than 5 minutes!Made guitar sound great. Haven't heard the bass tones so well. Only wish the pick was "electrified" or a little stronger. Just needed to turn the amp up a little more.Once installed, just plug the cable into the amp and play. Really easy, cable was long enough.

I give 5 stars on the sound quality, and that is the most important factor. Great Sound - No hum. The only thing you might not like is that the chord is about 12 ft long. Not quite long enough for some situations but way too long to leave it on. I cut it off at about 18" and soldered a female connector and now leave it on all the time and just plug in with my regular guitar chord. But if you just play at home, and/or don't mind taking it on and off there is no advantage to the retrofit and like I say the sound is very good.

One downside of this is that the cord is built into the pickup, and is kind of low quality, so you can't leave the pickup in when you're not using it. The other down side is that the pickup gets loose and falls out pretty easily. But the upsides easily outweigh the downsides. The single coil sound is completely credible. My Martin sounds like an electric apart from the wound G string. It's totally easy to install. You don't have to read anything or even loosen the strings. Just mash it in there.

This awesome little pick takes less than five minutes with a screwdriver to install (and uninstall if you're not going to use it for an extended time.) The cord is sufficiently long so that you don't have to be sitting right on top of your amp or pedalboard. It sounds great and provides clear, clean sounds. What more can you ask for?

It sounds pretty good and I can get enough signal to record my acoustic guitar with a preamp and a little extra gain on my mixer. My soundhole was pretty small, but I sanded of the ends of the pickup a little bit and it fits securely. I don't mind that the cord is attached and it's plenty long enough for my home studio work.Overall I'm happy.

I was very impressed with the sound of this pickup but not surprised. Fishman is one of the best there is but honestly, I wasn't expecting this PUP to sound as good as it does. I always mic my acoustic guitars and nothing beats a mic for recording acoustic guitars but using this along with a mic makes for a huge sound. This single coil PUP sounds so good I've decided I am going to buy the Humbucker as well. Unfortunately, this doesn't fit any of my classical guitars as the soundhole is too small. It fits standard sized dreads no problem so keep that in mind when ordering.

An easy solution to electrify an acoustic. I've been using it to record with when the surroundings are too noisy to mic. Sounds great.

This pickup works great! I use it to record guitar directly into my DAW. I haven't had any problems with humming. Installation is quick and easy. If you want to get the pickup closer or further from the strings, then it wouldn't be a big problem to remove the corking material, or fill in with some cardboard until you're happy with the level of pickup. Unfortunately, there's no way to get the magnet closer to individual strings for a solid frequency response. But then again, if that's a big deal for you, you can fix it in EQ.

The chord dose not detach at the pickup so installation includes wrestling with a long chord, then what to do with it when putting the guitar away? Some manufactures listen others do not. Which one is Fishman? Then you must set your sound at the amp or mixer. They recommend phosphor bronze guitar strings will not work on Silk and Steel.
