This is my second one of the same as I was happy with the first. This is a mechanical device that will break eventually and I got 2+ years out of my last one. I'd say that's pretty decent for the price.I'm 6'1" so still have to bend down a bit to pick up the poop so if not using good squatting form can cause a little back strain that could be improved by a longer model otherwise I'm quite pleased with it. I recommending switching hands every so often as I did get some hand cramps when I procrastinated longer than I care to admit and had a LOT of poop to pick up.
