My cat gets really anxious and uncomfortable when he has to wear a cone, so I figured I’d try a softer alternative. He hasn’t attempted to lick/bite the wound on his paw at all, so it’s healing nicely. I was relieved to see that he appears comfortable and even falls asleep by using this “toast collar” as a pillow. Some animals may still be able to reach their wounds depending on the location, but my cat has not been able to do so.

Instead of the uncomfortable plastic cone, we tried this. He doesn’t exactly love it, but likes it much better than a cone. He can eat and drink normally, and won’t admit it but seems to like the fact he has a pillow to sleep on anywhere. We have a covered cat box that’s a little tough to get into with how wide the pillow is, so we take it off regularly. Only warning if you have a sensitive cat like ours, this will make it much harder not to laugh at them. Lol. Good purchase for our problem.

While she doesn’t LOVE wearing the toast, she accepts it and does not get depressed. Eating is much easier with these and she’s able to get reasonably comfortable for her naps. She knew right away to use it as a pillow (it’s very soft and squishy). I will say it’s not *quite* as effective as a real ecollar but it’s effective enough. if she was really determined to scratch her face she could, but it takes A LOT more effort and the extra effort seems to be enough of a deterrent to keep her from scratching.

She kind of used it as a pillow and slept on it a lot. It was comfy for her to sleep on and it didn't choke her. It was small enough that it didn't impede with her walking or using the litter box. She was able to eat and drink water no problems. The collar is adjustable as well which is good for fatter cats or skinny cats. I highly recommend this product for anyone needed an e collar and don't want to use a cone. Will definitely use again in the future.
