We took it slow at first getting our 75 pound dog used to it. We got it to effectively tire him out quicker, and it definitely works for that. He still doesn't enjoy it because he would rather go on a long walk and get to sniff every possible scent so it is used infrequently. If he isn't in the mood for it he will resist and pull so you need to hold on tight to your bike and have some strength. This isn't the fault of the product, just my dog's stubborn personality.

All that see me w/ my dog are amazed at how slick it is. A few times he's jerked to try & see another dog for instance, but I am able to keep control without much problem. The pull is low enough on the bike that it's pretty stable. I don't know how it'd be with a large dog. I LOVE this leash.

I made this mistake and scraped up my dear doggo's paw when it got caught under the front tire. Fortunately, we were going very slowly and she was fine, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention.
