It’s very light weight and he doesn’t seem to notice it at all. It provides that extra level of protection when he falls which is so reassuring for a parent. We had so many falls and he kept hitting his head. Other than our playroom, the rest of our house is tile and I want him to explore and discover without being worried sick he is going to fall and hurt his head. So far we had one fall and it worked like a charm. I highly recommend!
