It didn't come out if the box ready for IOS but this in normal in my experience. Format is exFAT with a name and it was good to go. I'd buy again. Good value for the money with a good fit and finish.

Today there are unimaginable mini and micro devices with unheard of storage capacities. This "little" external drive with 512 GB is perfect and allows me to literally take all the data on my laptop with me anywhere and not have to pack a laptop, worry about storing it on an aircraft, or damaging it. I set up my new SSK portable SSD to add 250 GB to my laptop the other day and wow! My PC memory was filling up bc I have tons of research papers saved on the drive from grad school (just can't part with them lol)! So, instead of deleting my work or buying more cloud storage, I added an SSD drive and it has helped greatly. I also love that I can use this little guy with my iphone 13 (you just need an additional dongle as this SSD comes with type C to USB and USB to USB, which do not function for iphones). The SSD is portable so I can also use it with my work PC to easily transport SOPs and other nerdy documents to and from work. This is great value for a small price and has saved me from buying a new laptop or desktop for home. You probably can't tell from my pic but this drive is very small so you can slip it into a laptop bag or purse without hassle.

I purchased this drive to replace an old portable drive on my iMac expecting it to be maybe 2X faster than my old mechanical drive. What a surprise the drive is about 9X faster than my old drive as measured by Blackmagic Disk Speed Test app on Mac (see photos above with left photo showing my old drive performance and right photo showing the SSK 1TB transfer speed performance). Besides the incredible speed performance improvement the drive also is so much smaller and compact making it much easier to carry along on trips to share photos with family. The price is very good for this level of performance since it is only about 2X what you would pay for a much slower transfer speed mechanical drive. I would recommend it to anyone looking to replace a slower mechanical drive.

I always love more disk space, and external hard drives are great for their portability. This one is extremely small, like 2 flashdrives side by side. It has a hard metal outer shell with a plastic ring around the middle. There is a rubber loop on one corner so you can attach it to a keychain or something if you prefer. The external hard drive came with 2 cables. One a USB C to USB 3.0, the other a USB C to USC C. Both are very short, so don't expect for this to sit on your desk. The drive will likely hang off your PC because of how short the cables are.

Bought this just to run Windows 10 Pro on my 2020 MacBook Pro as 256GB isn't much for anything. I will say that I was extremely skeptical on this product. It runs the whole OS with no issues and is even fast enough for some Steam games! I will honestly say that I am highly impressed. The biggest drawback so far is the USB-C to USB-A adapter does not work all that well and I was kind of disappointed that it didn't come with a USB-C to USB-C cable as well, but all-in-all, this external drive way exceeded my expectations.
